A shared philosophy for a successful business transfer

Monday 17 Mar 2025

Looking Back at the History of Chauffage Miessen

After starting his career in the family business, Jean-Marc Miessen, eager to strike out on his own, founded Chauffage Miessen in 1996. Specializing in central heating and using cutting-edge technologies, the company quickly became a benchmark in the industry thanks to its expertise and high-quality customer service.

Twenty years later, after relocating, managing nine employees, and undergoing some personal changes, Mr. Miessen decided to bow out.

He entrusted the transfer of his “baby” to BestValue, specifically to Perrine Capelle and Ianis Fourneau. Given his investment over more than two decades, it was clear that he didn’t want to hand over his life’s work just to anyone or in just any way.

Christophe Sandron, the head of a small team of workers in the Neupré area and eager to grow his business, turned out to be the ideal buyer. It was almost a professional love at first sight! Sharing the same vision for running their respective businesses, they spent hours discussing their approaches. While BestValue generally prefers to act as the sole intermediary between the buyer and seller until closing, there are always exceptions… Mr. Miessen and Mr. Sandron shared the same philosophy, and their discussions ultimately helped speed up the usual process.

From this successful transaction, BestValue will remember the great rapport between buyer and seller, the absence of tension from start to finish, a fantastic collaboration between all parties involved, smooth follow-up, and the invaluable assistance of Mr. Rafaël Castro, Mr. Sandron’s tax advisor and accountant.

In short, a transfer completed swiftly and seamlessly, crowned by Mr. Miessen’s encouraging testimonial:
“Just a quick note to express my complete satisfaction! The services were carried out with professionalism. A well-executed transaction. Thank you for your work!”
