Ideally located near the SPI industrial zone in Amay, Ateliers Piret is a reference player in the sale of mechanical-welded, sheet metal, and machined parts. With half a century of experience and an excellent reputation in Wallonia, the company is, above all, a family story. Founded in 1969 by their father, Marcel and Joëlle Piret joined the company in 1985 and 1986 to ensure its development and have managed it ever since. In 2018, Pierre Mottet, Joëlle Piret’s son, joined the team after completing his studies in industrial engineering.
When the idea of a business transfer was considered, it was only natural for the Piret family to turn to Pierre to take part in the takeover. Very quickly, Ateliers Marcq, represented by Vincent Bricteux and active in the same sector, expressed their interest in acquiring Ateliers Piret. Eager to rely on the existing team, Vincent Bricteux found Pierre the ideal person for the role. This entrepreneurial duo allows Ateliers Piret to maintain its family roots while benefiting from the industry experience and synergies brought by Ateliers Marcq.
