A Strong and Reputable Family Business
Ateliers Piret is a key player in the sale of welded, boiler-made, and machined mechanical parts. The company is ideally located near the SPI industrial zone in Amay. But above all, it’s a family business. Founded in 1969, it has over 50 years of experience and a strong reputation in Wallonia. Marcel and Joëlle Piret, the founders’ children, joined the company in 1985 and 1986 to help it grow. Since then, they have taken over its management. In 2018, Joëlle’s son, Pierre Mottet, also joined the team to further strengthen its operations.
Context of the Transfer
When it came time to consider a business transfer, the Piret family naturally turned to Pierre to carry the legacy forward. At the same time, Ateliers Marcq, represented by Vincent Bricteux and active in the same sector, expressed interest in the acquisition. Vincent saw in Pierre the ideal partner to join forces with.
Their goal was to build on the strengths of the existing team. The Mottet–Bricteux partnership combines a strong family foundation with industrial expertise, ensuring a bright future for Ateliers Piret.
